  • Monopulse, also known as simultaneous lobe comparison, is a technique for measuring the direction of arrival of radiation.
  • The radiation may emanate from an active source such as a distant transmitting antenna, a beacon, a jammer, an astronomical body, or from a passive source—that is, a target or scatterer that reradiates some of the power incident on it.
  • It enables precise angle error detection using Monopulse techniques for automatic antenna alignment, ensuring reliable tracking of fast-moving aerial or spaceborne targets.
